Information about the Bank

Dominet Bank S.A., part of the Fortis Group, is a modern national bank operating through a uniform network of more than 210 branches and delivering bundles of complementary financial products and services. Its operations are focused on providing services to individual customers and small and mid-sized businesses. Dominet Bank's offer includes savings accounts, deposits, investment funds, cash loans, car loans, credit cards and insurance products. The Bank offers its customers also motor insurance and life insurance, leasing, housing loans and a possibility to conduct express international money transfers through the Western Union network.

Dominet Bank has been present in the Polish financial market since 1991. At first, it operated as Cuprum Bank S.A. However, in 2002 after the acquisition of 100 per cent of shares of the bank by Dominet S.A., whose minority shareholder was Merrill Lynch Global Emerging Markets Partners L.P., it joined the Dominet capital group and adopted its current name. Since March 2007 the Fortis Group, one of the twenty largest international financial institutions in Europe operating in the banking and insurance sectors, has been the owner of Dominet Bank S.A.

Dominet Bank has been awarded many times, amongst other things, for its ability to win over important foreign partners  (Polish Business Club, 2003), the most profitable dynamics of equity (Gazeta Bankowa: Best Banks of 2005) and for the highest dynamics of development of the agent outlet network (Forbes, 2006). Further, Dominet Bank has been awarded with honorary mention by Bank, a prestigious financial monthly, in the "motor bank" category (2004), and Gazeta Finansowa awarded it with the "Bank of the Year 2006". Most recent achievements of Dominet Bank include the first place in the "Best Bank Branch" ranking, compiled by Newsweek and Forbes (2006).
